Your Questions, Answered

Working With Houda Media

  • We produce commercials, documentaries, branded content, corporate videos, photography, and full post-production services. Whether you need a 15-second social ad or a feature-length documentary, our team handles every format across television, digital, and social platforms.

  • Not at all. Many of our clients come to us with a goal rather than a fully formed idea, and that works perfectly. During our discovery call, we work with you to define the vision, audience, messaging, and format. We handle concept development, scripting, and storyboarding as part of our pre-production process so your project is built on a strong creative foundation from day one.

  • We work across a wide range of industries including insurance, legal, technology, healthcare, real estate, nonprofit, and consumer brands. Our client roster includes organizations like Nationwide Insurance, Verisk, Pacific Legal Foundation, and NOCO. The common thread is that our clients value high production value and storytelling that connects with real audiences.

  • Three things set us apart. First, every project is led by a credited director of photography, which means your production has consistent cinematic quality from frame one. Second, we operate as a full-service studio, not a freelance collective, so there is a single point of accountability from concept through final delivery. Third, we focus on audience impact, not just beautiful footage. Every creative decision is tied to your business objectives.

Pricing & Budget

  • Every project is different, so we provide custom quotes based on your specific needs. Factors that affect pricing include the number of shoot days, locations, crew size, talent, scripting, animation or motion graphics, and the complexity of post-production. We are transparent about costs from the start and work within a range of budgets. The best way to get a realistic estimate is to schedule a discovery call so we can understand your project scope.

  • We quote each project individually rather than offering rigid packages. This approach ensures you only pay for what your project actually needs, without unnecessary add-ons or missing elements. After our initial conversation, we provide a detailed proposal that breaks down every line item so there are no surprises.

  • A standard Houda Media proposal covers pre-production (concept development, scripting, location scouting, scheduling), production (crew, equipment, direction of photography, on-set production management), and post-production (editing, color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and final delivery in all required formats). If your project requires additional elements like talent casting, music licensing, or drone footage, those are itemized separately.

  • Yes. We approach every conversation with flexibility and will always tell you what is achievable at your budget level. If your initial scope exceeds your budget, we will recommend adjustments to scope, format, or deliverables that protect production quality while keeping you on budget. Our goal is to deliver the highest possible value for your investment.

PROCESS & TIMELINE

  • Our process follows three phases. Pre-production includes discovery, concept development, scripting, storyboarding, location scouting, casting, and scheduling. Production covers the actual shoot days with our full crew and equipment. Post-production includes editing, color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and final delivery. Throughout every phase, you have a dedicated producer as your single point of contact.

  • Most projects are completed within four to six weeks from kickoff to final delivery. A simple single-day shoot with straightforward editing can be turned around in two to three weeks. Larger projects like multi-day commercial campaigns or documentaries may take two to three months depending on scope. We establish a clear timeline during pre-production so you know exactly what to expect at every stage.

  • If we do our jobs right, we shouldn’t need many. Every project includes two rounds of revisions at no additional cost. We share a rough cut for your first round of feedback, incorporate changes, then deliver a fine cut for final review. In practice, our thorough pre-production process means most projects need minimal revisions because the creative direction is aligned before we ever hit record.

  • Absolutely. We encourage clients to be on set, especially for the first production we do together. You will see the creative vision come to life in real time and can provide feedback on the spot. If you cannot be there in person, we can arrange for a live video feed or provide regular photo and video updates throughout the day.

  • After final delivery, you receive all finished files in the formats you need, whether that is broadcast-ready masters, social media cuts, web-optimized versions, or all of the above. We also archive your raw footage and project files for 12 months in case you need additional edits, cutdowns, or repurposed content down the road.

Technical & Equipment

  • We shoot on cinema-grade camera systems, including SONY, RED, and ARRI platforms, paired with professional lighting, grip, and audio packages. Our equipment selection is tailored to each project. A fast-paced documentary may call for a different setup than a controlled studio commercial. We invest in the right tools for your specific production rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

  • Yes. We offer FAA-certified drone cinematography for aerial shots, sweeping establishing shots, and dynamic overhead perspectives. We also offer FPV-style drone options for an ultra-dynamic experience. Drone footage is quoted as an add-on and includes a licensed drone operator, equipment, and post-production integration.

  • We deliver in whatever formats your distribution channels require. This typically includes high-resolution master files (ProRes or H.265), broadcast-spec files for television, and optimized exports for YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and your website. If you need specific aspect ratios like 9:16 for Stories or Reels, we build those into the edit.

  • Yes. Our post-production team includes sound design, and we source music through licensed libraries to ensure you have full legal clearance for any platform. If your project requires original music composition or a specific track, we can coordinate that as well.

Corporate & Commercial Projects

  • Yes. Corporate video is one of our core service areas. We produce training videos, company culture pieces, executive messages, onboarding content, and internal event coverage. We bring the same cinematic quality to internal content that we bring to external campaigns because your team deserves production value that holds their attention.

  • Yes. We produce broadcast-ready commercials for local, regional, and national television as well as digital pre-roll and connected TV (CTV) platforms. Our team handles everything from concept and scripting through final delivery in broadcast specifications.

  • Absolutely. We create social-first video content optimized for every major platform including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. This includes vertical formats, short-form cuts, and campaign-specific content designed to perform in social feeds. Many clients bundle social cuts into their larger production projects to maximize the value of a single shoot day.

  • We work with both. We partner with advertising agencies, marketing firms, and creative agencies as a production resource, and we also work directly with brands and organizations. Whether you are a marketing director handling production in-house or an agency producer bringing in a production team, we adapt to your workflow.

Getting Started

  • The easiest way to start is by reaching out through our contact page or emailing us directly at josh@houdamedia.com. We will schedule a brief discovery call to understand your goals, timeline, and budget. From there, we develop a proposal with a creative approach, detailed scope, and transparent pricing. Once approved, we move into pre-production and get your project on the calendar.

  • It helps to have a general sense of your goals (what you want the video to accomplish), your target audience, any important deadlines, and a rough budget range. You do not need a script, shot list, or creative brief. If you have examples of videos you admire or a mood board, those are useful but not required. We will guide you through everything else.

  • Yes, when scheduling allows. If you have a hard deadline, let us know early and we will build a production plan around it. Rush timelines may involve adjusted scope or additional crew to meet your date, and we will always be upfront about what is feasible.

  • Our production calendar books out several weeks in advance, especially during peak seasons. We recommend reaching out as early as possible to secure your preferred dates. For time-sensitive projects, we do our best to accommodate tight turnarounds.
